Hawken: A Multiplayer Mech Experience
It’s been a while, but if anything can pull me out of mental collapse for a few minutes it’s a mecha game.
Hawken is a multiplayer FPS currently being developed on the Unreal engine by indie developers Adhesive Games, a small development team of about 10 people, it’s their first game in development and it looks very promising, the art, level design and sound are already such high quality. It has that degraded Neo-Tokyo look reminiscent of Akira and Neon Genesis Evangelion. It’s mecha look more Future Cop LAPD and Mech Warrior than EVA-01 and Gundam. It’s been a very long time since a half decent Mech game was released.
Platform and release date currently unknown, but steady progress is being made.
